Job Description
Location : Bangalore
Designation: Sr Application Engineer (or Application Engineer) based on the the experience.
Exp: 2- 8 yrs
Work on cutting edge designs with various customers using Atoptech EDA tools. Contributing to both off-site projects and be a trusted advisor to customer design teams.
In this role, you need to discover classical solutions to problems with little guidance and implements them independently. Set task-level goals and consistently meets schedules. Works with Sales team to extend or expand customer contract.
Job involves visiting customer sites on regular basis as well as helping designers with questions related to the software. Job could also require working out of customer-sites within India and at times to customer locations outside India.
Typically requires a 2-10 years of related experience with master or bachelor degree in electrical engineering field. Demonstrate strong communication, verbal and written, and awareness of project management issues. Keeps composure during crises and can comfortably handle risks and uncertainty.
- Hands on experience doing Physical Design of complex blocks and/or FullChip designs.
- Must have hands-on experience with one of the commercial place & route tools from Synopsys(ICC), Cadence(SOC Encounter) or Magma(Talus).
- Should have good understanding of timing, power and area trade-offs.
- Ability to pickup new flows and learns on the job.
- Experience as an AE with any EDA company is a plus.
- Knowledge of PrimeTime and TCL/Perl will be a plus.
