Filling up of 47(Forty Seven) posts of Scientists in various categories on regular basis in three Autonomous Institutions i.e. Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Hyderabad, National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), Goa, and National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai under Earth Systems Organisation, as per the following details.

Scientist –B

  • Number of Posts: 17
  • Pay Scale: PB-3 Rs 15,600-39,100,+ G.P. Rs.5,400/-
  • Age: Below 35 years

Scientist – C

  • Number of Posts: 20
  • Pay Scale: PB-3 Rs 15,600-39,100,+ G.P. Rs.6,600/-
  • Age: Below 40 years

Scientist – D

  • Number of Posts: 06
  • Pay Scale: PB-3 Rs 15,600-39,100,+ G.P. Rs.7,600/-
  • Age: Below 50 years

Scientist –E

  • Number of Posts: 03
  • Pay Scale: PB-4 Rs 37,400-67,000,+ G.P. Rs.8,700/-
  • Age: Below 50 years

Scientist –F

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Pay Scale: PB-4 Rs 37,400-67,000,+ G.P. Rs.8,900/-

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up 17(Seventeen) posts of Scientist 'B' in three Autonomous Institutions i.e. INCOIS, NIOT & NCAOR as per the details given below:

Scientist 'B'

  • Post Code : 01
  • Number of posts :03(Three) (at INCOIS, Hyderabad) 03(Three) (at NCAOR, Goa)
  • Eligibility Criteria : Essential:- Master's Degree in any branch of Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanography / Physics / Applied Physics / Marine Geophysics / Geology / Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics or equivalent from a recognized university/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks.
  • Desirable:- Doctorate in the relevant field.
  • Job Requirement : (i) R&D in ocean sciences, data processing and analysis, data collection at sea and land, ocean modeling, processing and analysis of remote sensing data, preparation of GIS maps, etc.
    (ii) To undertake and provide assistance in interdisciplinary fields of Glaciology and Chemistry.
    (iii) Application of satellite data in Earth System Sciences.
    (iv) To undertake R&D projects supported by field and laboratory inputs in the field of Paleoclimate studies IN POLAR REGIONS.
    (v) Geophysical data interpretation, participation in marine surveys, conduct Geophysical/geological studies in the continental shelf of India and beyond.
