The Department of History, University of Hyderabad invites applications for appointing three (3) Nos.(1-UR, 1-SC, 1 OBC) of Guest Faculty in History to teach the students of Integrated, MA Ist and 3rd semesters in Social Sciences  on a consolidated pay as detailed below for teaching 4 credit courses. The selected guest faculty are expected to participate in other academic activities like seminars etc., and provide guidance to students and extend any other type  of help as may be needed by the students and as assigned by the Head of the Department. 


Further they are also  expected to undertake a workload up to 8-9 hours of lecture assignment and not to leave in the middle of the  semester. 

Qualification: Good Academic record with atleast 55%(50% for SC categry) of marks or an equivalent grade of B in  the 7 points scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E&F at the MA level in History from an Indian University or an  equivalent degree from a foreign University. 


Desirable qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject or research work of an equally high standard


Emoluments:
Consolidated payment of Rs.20,000/- per month per course will be paid.
In case two courses are given a consolidated payment of Rs.30,000/-per month will be paid.
Note: As per F&A rules 10% for PAN Card holders and 20% for Non-PAN card holders will be deducted towards  tax.

Period of Appointment: JULY- DECEMBER, 2013.
